As an avid comic book reader I think it's only fair to celebrate the efforts and love of their creators who put so much care into the worlds and characters we have grown to love and enjoy so much. Here, I wanted to spotlight some of MY favorite things to happen in the world of comics this week.
Spoilers ahead.

The New 52 is Ending
Well, the New 52 imprint is anyway.
Come June, DC Comics will introduce 24 new comics alongside 25 ongoing series, which will go uninterrupted. This is definitely not a reboot, but similar to what DC Comics has been doing of canceling titles that haven't really hit it off with fans and replacing them with new and different books, except on a larger scale. "In this new era of storytelling, story will trump continuity as we continue to empower creators to tell the best stories in the industry" says Dan DiDio, DC Comics co-publisher.
DC is bringing a more diverse line of comics books as well as a more diverse group of creators with this move, which is one of the things they've been criticized about since before the start of the New 52. It's a welcome change, and one that got me extremely excited.
The list of all of the new titles, along with some released images and my thoughts under the cut.

In the Spotlight: Nameless #1
Comics is my business!
Every Wednesday more than a handful of awesome comic books are released, and while it's impossible to go over each and every book, it's a good idea to spotlight an issue of something I think is worth your hard earned money. Be it a brand new series starting up or a new jumping on point for an already ongoing series, you can never have enough of good comics.
This week sees the highly anticipated reunion of Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham for the debut of their new book from Image Comics, Nameless.

In the Spotlight: Casanova: Acedia #1
January 28, 2015 saw the release of Matt Fraction, Fabio Moon, and Gabriel Ba's Casanova: Acedia #1, with new member of the team Michael Chabon who will be writing the back-ups in each issue, the long awaited and highly anticipated return to the psychedelic world of Casanova Quinn. I was thrilled for this book because I've heard so many good things about Casanova, but until these last few days, I had never actually read any of the previous three volumes, which is dumb because I own them. So, I decided to pick them up and read it all before the start of the fourth volume, and let me tell you something; what a trip.
