Spider-Verse was "officially" over last issue, although this issue is the actual end of the event since everything gets wrapped up here.
Uncle Ben stays with Mayday Parker, and her not-so-dead mother, to be a grandpa. Who also has spider powers (yeah, Uncle Ben is alive).
Spider-Men sequel?
Otto is actually the most interesting part of all of this. He knows what awaits him now, he know Peter takes his body back so I actually am interested in what he has planned. More on that in a bit.
Gwen Stacy lives (as well)!
Who is The Master Weaver? There were some wild speculations online as to who could be behind that mask, and Slott has a little fun here. Turns out, it's just an older Karn. Ah, time travel!
Now, THIS I want to see where it leads. This sort of thing I love because I can now go back to those older issues and try to dissect them. It's certainly going to be interesting. What happens in 100 days? How many days has it been since Superior Spider-Man #19 (where Otto reapers back in his right time) and this current issue of Amazing Spider-Man?
And so, with Karn taking his rightful place as The Master Weaver (confusing some because it is time travel) Otto is sent back to where he reappeared, in Superior Spider-Man #19, with the knowledge that he won't last long in Peter's body. Again, this actually makes me want to go back and do some re-reading. Maybe he has some seeds planted that, now having the bigger picture revealed, will be more apparent.
Spider-UK's world is gone? So he and Anya stay with Karn to team up for the Secret Wars Spider-Verse book. It always baffles me what Marvel decides to do with Anya. She always seems to go from place to place without success, at least from what I can see. Kelly Sue Deconnick's addition of Anya in her Avengers Assemble book is my favorite appearance of the character.
Uh-oh. Again, never been a huge fan of Kaine, but I had a feeling they wouldn't just kill him off that easily. He's been a pretty big deal recently as Scarlet Spider. You just know something's going to be up with him now after this.
And so, Spider-Verse is REALLY over now, which started off great and kind of fell flat by the end. This excites me though; Spidey back to dealing with "the small stuff".
So, the take away? Gwen and Uncle Ben are alive in different dimensions and Dan Slott has summated some sort of blasphemous act. God, I love comics. Spider-Gwen should be awesome!
